Who we are
Lychnari is operated by Dimitrios Emmanouilidis. Contact: hello@lychnari.app.
The app
Lychnari runs entirely on your phone. The language model and the knowledge base are stored on the device, and the app does not request permission to use the internet, so it cannot send what you type, say, photograph or open to us or to anyone else.
The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. We collect no data from it.
Your conversations are stored in the app's own storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them. If you have turned on Android's backup to your Google account, Android may include the app's data, including your conversations, in that backup. That backup is held by Google under your account; we cannot see it. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings.
Microphone. The app asks for microphone access only so that you can ask questions by voice. Speech is turned into text on the phone.
Camera and files. The app has no camera permission. When you ask about a photo, your phone's camera app takes it and hands it to Lychnari, which reads the text in it on the phone and keeps the photo with that conversation in the app's own storage. Files you open and text you share into the app are also processed on the phone.
Lychnari gives general information from its knowledge base. It is not a medical service and not an emergency service.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, has no forms, and loads no third-party resources: its fonts are served from this site. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Test group
To join the test before launch, you join our Google Group (lychnari-testers) with your Google account, and Google Play gives that group access to the test version of the app. Through the group we see the name and email address of your Google account. We use them only to give you access to the test and to tell you about it. Other members cannot see them. The group is run by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. You can leave it at any time, or ask us to remove you. Google Play also shows us general statistics about test installs, such as the number of testers and the device models.
If you write to hello@lychnari.app, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply to you. Incoming mail is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Gmail inbox. You can ask us at any time to delete your messages.
Children
Lychnari is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If the app or this website changes how it handles data, this page will be updated first and the date above will change.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, by emailing hello@lychnari.app. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
